Katie's Royal 40th Birthday Brunch

I had the pleasure recently of helping to plan, decorate and make the large cakes
for my sister inlaw Katie's 40th Birthday Party.
She celebrated her Birthday on the Queens Birthday with a brunch for 50
of her close friends and family.  I had so much fun with the color scheme she chose.
She decided to stick to the theme of the day with these lovely Royal colours of purple and red
and the beautiful crowns that featured throughout.

I made the Cake which is a rich Chocolate Mud Cake with Chocolate Ganache.
The large cake consists of a 9" and 7" tier.  The smaller cakes are dummy cakes 6" inches size.

I hand made all of the Pillow Boxes using Stampin Up's Die
and also the Scollop Punch for the lovely little Thank You tags.
Inside each of the Pillow Boxes was a beautiful Crown Bookmark for each of the woman that attended.
Then in addition each guest also received a Noodle Box with all of Katie's
favourite chocolates with beautiful Red and Purple wrappers.

My brother Jefferson made all of the lovely chocolate cupcakes and brunch foods....Yum!
I also made the Cake Picks to match those of the take home gifts.

Fresh flower arrangements on top of the cakes were made by "Flowers from the Garden - Dickson".
The crowns are from "The Little Big Company" in Melbourne.   http://www.tlbc.com.au/
The white glass cake stands are from "Sweet Style" online store Sydney.  http://www.sweetstyle.com.au/

Easter Treats Table 2012

This is the Easter Treats Table I put together for an Easter Brunch I recently hosted.
The children all went on an Easter Hunt for Bunny Money in the garden.
Once they had found all the Bunny Money they came to spend it on
lots of lovely treats to put in their special Easter Bags.
Choosing was the most fun part.
The milk cartons and pillow boxes are made from Stampin Up Dies.
The Plastic "Hop to it! Tubes are filled with Easter M&M's.
The Rabbits are all from Bed Bath & Table.

WONKA Golden Ticket Party

Wonka  Golden   Ticket   PArty
My son Dylan is a huge fan of both the old and new Wonka Movies, so for his 11th Birthday he requested a Wonka Party for 24 of his closest friends.
Each child received a Golden Ticket Invitation.  I painted the Wonka Gate backdrop to set the scene for the Wonka Gate Candy Buffet.
This  was filled with Wonka – Nerd Ropes, Nerds, Red Skins, Gobstoppers as well as personalised Golden Ticket Chocolate Bars.
The Great Glass Elevator was filled with red and white striped mints and a Wonka party is not complete without Veruca’s infamous
“I Want A Golden Egg Now” Chocolate Eggs.

The children also delighted in Scrumdiddlyumptious Wonka – Purple Lemonade Jelly Cups,
Chocolate Mousses with tiny 3cm Moulded Chocolate Bars,
Gingerbread Cookie Wonka Hats and Wonka Cake Pops.
I also made the Wonka themed Cake that featured on the Dessert Table.
The Wonka cake carried a fusion of characters from both the old and new movies.
The guests drank “Fizzy Lifting Drink” and thankfully none of the children floated away,
fell in the chocolate river, shrank to an infinite size or turned blue and needed juicing.
They did however go home a little sugar high from the party.
Upon arrival each child signed the Wonka Contract with a personal message to the Birthday boy.
They then entered the Wonka garden which was filled with candy props and Wonka directional signage.
The children also played Chocolate Games, completed a Wonka Questionnaire
and finished the night watching the Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie.

Leonie's 40th Fancy, Feathery Affair

Dessert Buffet Table for my 40th Birthday High Tea.
Candy Buffet
At the end of the afternoon the guests filled their individual glass candy jars from the Candy Buffet.
Birthday Cake & Desserts

I made all of the printables, the floral arrangements, the 3 tier Birthday Cake (chocolate mudcake),
the Hummingbird Cakes & Carrot Cakes, the Raspberry Pot Cheesecakes (I love these little glass pots).
The printed name spoons finished the chocolate mousses beautifully.

My wonderful husband James and his mate (Andrew) kindly dressed as waiting angels for the afternoon.
